Making the right choice: My entry for the Get Published contest

The epitome of a stereotype Indian girl, Zoya had it all going for her. Parents who would do anything to make her happy , a set of friends who stuck by her through thick and thin, great grades in school and a university to die for, she had it all going. The only thing missing in her life was a man.

She scoffed at romantic movies, exasperated at how couples fought over silly things and bickered over the idea of love at first sight. In short, she didn’t believe in love at all. In her mind, it was all a counterfeit reason not to be alone in this world. She rebuked every guy who asked her out and cut relationships with anyone from the male gender when she felt the friendship growing beyond love. She didn’t know why she did it, but she did it.

She did dream about falling in love. The real kind of love whatever that meant. But all that happens in the movies ,never in real life she thought.

Life took on a different turn when she joined college. It was one of the most prestigious universities in the country.  There was not a worry that could rock her world.
This was all before two guys Rakesh and Akshay walked into her life and turned it upside down.  Rakesh was the slick one with oodles of money living life king-size. He liked what he saw in Zoya and he decided to mark his territory.

Akshay on the other hand was completely mesmerized by the new girl Zoya from the time he laid eyes on her. The first day that they were introduced, he was completely smitten by her. He had to know this girl.

But she ? Boy was she clueless about everything going on around her.

Read this intriguing tale of series of complicated twists and turns in a college based love story. Did she love either of them? Or was there someone else?
